KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two women are in custody, and a search is on for a third after two separate crimes in which Knoxville Police say women attacked women, leaving one dead.

Jerri Lynn Goodman, 31, was found critically wounded by gunfire behind a market in Walter P. Taylor homes Friday night. She died at UT Medical Center.

Police want the public to be on the lookout for her suspected killer, and officers have a warrant for Ciara Siler's arrest.

Siler is black, 22 years old, with black hair and blonde highlights.

She's 5’4”, 180 lbs., and she may be driving a two-door gray Honda Civic with chrome wheels and tinted window.

If KPD detectives have a motive, they're not telling us.

Also following weekend violence, two women face aggravated assault charges after a fight outside the Old City's Club 106.

KPD has charged 21-year-old Keicess Goins, and 20-year-old Rachael Russell, both of Knoxville, with aggravated assault.

According to the warrants, Goins and Russell sliced Kourtney Sams, of Powell several times with a razor blade.

Sams was treated at UT Medical Center.

Goins and Russell were arraigned Monday, and jailed in the Knox County Detention Center.

Sams was treated and released from the hospital. Police say the fight was over a man.

I agree. These were two totally separate incidents, and as such should've been reported separately. The fact that they were both violent crimes involving women was all that they had in common.

I would like to know why would your station air the two crimes together? The crime that happened with the death is something more serious then the girl getting stabbing. They are to separate crime that should be treated as such. Your News Station is not giving the public the right impression on the crimes. Jerri was my cousin, and I feel that your Station should have more information on what happened. By put the two crimes together your news station is making me feel like the station did not what to waste Air time on the crimes.
