KNOXVILLE (WVLT) - On Sunday night, police were investigating the third robbery along Sutherland Avenue in eight days.

The previous two robberies targeted University of Tennessee students near the school-owned Sutherland Apartments. Sunday evening’s robbery took place a few blocks away at the Sutherland Square Apartments on Harry Street.

Witnesses told WVLT Volunteer TV News that five or six teenagers jumped a pair of older men in the complex parking lot around 6:30 PM.

It’s believe they fled toward the Third Creek Greenway.

As of early Monday morning, the incident was still under investigation.

If you have any information about the robberies, call the Knoxville Police Tip Line at (865) 215-7212.

There was a shooting at the Pilot in this area last night (actually technically this morning) around 12. Why is no one reporting this?
