Police investigate third robbery in eight days along Sutherland Avenue

KNOXVILLE (WVLT) - On Sunday night, police were investigating the third robbery along Sutherland Avenue in eight days.
The previous two robberies targeted University of Tennessee students near the school-owned Sutherland Apartments. Sunday evening’s robbery took place a few blocks away at the Sutherland Square Apartments on Harry Street.
Witnesses told WVLT Volunteer TV News that five or six teenagers jumped a pair of older men in the complex parking lot around 6:30 PM.
It’s believe they fled toward the Third Creek Greenway.
As of early Monday morning, the incident was still under investigation.
