Man critically shot in Morgan County

Les Barnaby was critically shot in the parking lot of Edna Maes Bar & Grill late on the night of September 5th, 2008.

MORGAN COUNTY (WVLT) – A man was shot late Friday night in the Lancing community of Morgan County.
The sheriff’s department said the shooting occurred during a fight in the parking lot of Edna Mae’s Bar & Grill on Old Highway 27 Rd., about two miles north of Wartburg. LifeStar was called in to transport the victim, Les Barnaby to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was listed in critical conditional late Saturday morning.
The shooter has not been captured and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is still conducting an investigation.

There was no fight. Doyle was trying to pull Les into the car and make it look like self defence. Les did hit Doyle after he had shot him twice and was taking the gun away from him when he spun the gun out of his hands and hit him in the face with the gun.Then he hit him again to keep from taking the gun away from him. Les then told Doyle to leave. Les could of cleared the jamed gun and killed him but he didn't. He brought the gun into the bar and laid it on the bar and asked where the hell was the police. He told his girl friend to call Life Star and not to take him nowhere but UT. He then laid down on the floor to keep from going into shock.

Just found out this moring that Les has made it through his 4th surgery ok. They did leave him open after this surgery for observation, he has contracted staph infection, not out of the woods yet but he's still hanging in there! And as for the person that left the comment about the satellite boxes, I'm sure everyone understands the situation.
