NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Two guards and the recreation director at the Tennessee Prison for Women have been fired after an investigation into misconduct.
Two other guards have resigned and a sixth employee is awaiting a department hearing on accusations.
Tennessee Department of Correction spokeswoman Dorinda Carter said Monday there was a sexual relationship between at least one male guard and an inmate.
Carter said a department investigation began two weeks ago and the activity is believed to have occurred within the past month.
Some of the information will be forwarded to prosecutors for review, she said.
