NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Talk about bipartisanship. Two state Senate candidates from opposing parties -- but both aligned with Republican Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey -- appear to be sharing an e-mail distribution list.
Signing up for e-mail news releases from Republican candidate Mike Faulk of Church Hill results in a confirmation notice from Democratic Sen. Rosalind Kurita of Clarksville.
Kurita, who helped hand Republicans control of the Senate last year by supporting Ramsey for speaker, said Friday that she has no idea how Faulk's release was linked to her account.
Ramsey and his political action committee have contributed heavily to Faulk's campaign as part of the speaker's effort to give Republicans a Senate majority next session.
Spokesmen for Ramsey and Faulk didn't immediately return messages seeking comment.
