LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Louisville man is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after a joint online investigation.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Ronald Grant Spires is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.

For a number of weeks, several agencies conducted an online investigation into Spires' alleged activities.

He was taken into custody Wednesday morning at his home.

He is being held on a $25,000 bond pending a hearing on Oct. 10.

WELL I SAW IT COMING AND HOPEFULLY THIS WILL SHOW GRANT THAT THIS IS REALLY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR SHOULD NOT BE REPRESENTING THE PUBLIC. I DO BELIEVE HE CAN RECIEVE HELP BUT DEFINITELY A LOT OF PRAYER

Sorry to hear that about Grant. We were in the same High School. And somehow, I'm not very surprised by this either.

I never would have believed it. It's scary to think that I used to work with him and thought he was a good guy. Of course, you ARE supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. I'll be interested to learn the facts.

Please remember folks that a person is innocent until proven guilty. I find it difficult to believe that Grant would compromise a minor. I will be praying for him and his family and I hope many of you will also.
