Tennessee teacher now accused of sex with 3 students

PORTLAND, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in northern Middle Tennessee have brought additional juvenile sex charges against a Portland High School teacher.

The Tennessean reported 36-year-old Sandra Binkley surrendered to authorities Wednesday after additional charges were filed against her.

Binkley was arrested last week and charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student in March.

Portland Police said the investigation led them to allegations that Binkley had sex with two additional Portland High School students on three occassions.

She is now charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and one count of sexual battery.

Binkley was released on bond. She has been suspended from her math teaching job without pay.

When I was a kid, you brought the teacher an apple with the hope of her grading on the curve. Now the teachers want the kids to grade her curves.
