2-story home burns in East Knox County
Fire burned part of both floors of a two-story home on Strawberry Plains Pike in east Knox County, according to Rural Metro Fire Department spokesman Billy Kear.

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Fire burned part of both floors of a two-story home on Strawberry Plains Pike in east Knox County, according to Rural Metro Fire Department spokesman Billy Kear.
Kear says the home at 4925 Strawberry Plains Pike near Ramsey Lane and Thorngrove Pike caught fire Wednesday afternoon.
Kear says neighbors reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the home.
He says no one was home when the fire started.
There is heavy smoke damage throughout the home, in addition to damage caused by the flames on both levels.
So far, there's no word on what started the fire.

Rural Metro did an OUTSTANDING job saving this house! Alot of heat, heavy smoke to the floor and fire. I was there.
