WICHITA, KS (WVLT) -- The top recruit in the nation will be a Tennessee Volunteer.
Running back Bryce Brown chose the Vols over Oregon, Kansas State, LSU, and Miami, signing with the school at a press conference Monday afternoon at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.
"I asked God for a sign before I left to go to Tennessee...Before I left, got the sign and I knew in my heart I'd be a Volunteer."
When a reporter asked what the sign was, Brown said, "I knew it in my heart."
Brown also praised the UT coaching staff.
"I feel that's the school the school that's gonna prepare me the best to go to the next level," Brown said.
Brown rushed for 1,873 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior at Wichita East High School. He committed to Miami, where his brother is a linebacker, in February of 2008 but visited several other schools after making his commitment.
Brown visited Tennessee this past weekend, watching the Vols practice Friday night and leading Tennessee fans to think the Vols were right in the thick of the race to sign Brown.

Can,t people just take the young man for his word and respect his faith in God.I think we just have a bunch of sore losers in our society today.I think it,s refreshing to see Bryce following what he believes is God,s path for him.The rest of you negative people need to get over it !!!!

Good for him! I hope he is a great back, that remains to be seen. I am glad that he asked God to help him know where he was supposed to go. If the answer was Tennesse or not he at least acknowledged that God was a big part of his deciscion. I wish him the best.

It is really funny 4 comments and lets see... we have a person from Kansas (The other team Bryce did not pick)and a gator fan (who can't get past any of the media hype and is possibly upset because Bryce even picked Miami over UF or was UF even on his mind???) and an LSU fan (who can't spell "Go" like the rest of the world. What is this "Geaux" Stuff??? LOL)Why can't any of you just be happy for what you have...Kansas has a good up and coming team. UF has an awesome Christian rep as QB, and LSU ...well hmmmm ya'll got some good food and parties lol. As for Tenn I think given the fact they started recruiting later then they wanted to, due to the coaching staff not being 100% in place, I think they did good for the first time in their efforts. So they don't have a QB in the short term.. they are still building a team and so far they aren't doing too bad. So with that I say Go Kansas, Go Florida, Go opps Geaux LSU Go Go Go and take Georgia with you HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! VOLS 4 ever!!!!
