ANDERSONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Just when you think you've heard every crime story in the book.
There comes the story of Larry Stephen Moore II, 42, of Maryville.
Anderson County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Stone Ridge Drive in Andersonville around 10:20 p.m. on Memorial Day evening.
Apparently a homeowner heard a noise in the basement, and found his home had been burglarized.
Deputies found footprints, as in bare feet, walking away from the scene to an abandoned farm house down the road.
As deputies searched the home, they say they found Moore hiding upstairs.
Not sure if he was hiding from police, or because of what deputies say he was wearing.
Either way, deputies say Moore did his best Pete Rose impersonation, and dove head first out a second floor window.
They say they found him face down outside, get this, nothing but a woman's thong and a lingerie top.
As Chief Deputy Mark Lucas of the Anderson County Sheriff's Department puts it, "Nothing else. No other clothes!"
No word where he got the clothing or why he was wearing it.
Moore was taken to Methodist Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries, and maybe wounded pride. he was released the next morning.
Moore, of Big Elm Road, was then booked on charges of aggravated burglary, auto burglary, and vandalism. He's being held on a $65,000 bond.
Police say Moore and at least two others had been living in the abandoned farm house.
Turns out, Moore had just been released from the Anderson County Detention Facility on May 21 after being arrested by the Norris Police on May 10 for Aggravated Burglary, Vandalism, and Resisting Arrest.
Police say he was found in a vacant rental home in Norris where he had burglarized this residence and been staying.
This reporter is asking questions to see what, if anything, Moore was allegedly wearing when he was arrested that time.
Still no word from deputies as to whether they have any booking photos or police video of Moore's arrest. We'll keep checking, though we're not sure we can show it on TV.
"I have been in law enforcement 31 years," Lucas said. "I thought I had heard it all. I guess not!"
