KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Knox County man is facing charges of impersonating a police officer and stopping at least two motorists.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reported 55-year-old Charles Peck was arraigned Monday on charges of false imprisonment, criminal impersonation and theft.
Peck is accused of pulling over a Knoxville mother who had three young children in her vehicle and a Powell man while claiming to be an undercover police officer. They described two different cars that had flashing lights.
Knox County Sheriff's Deputy Randall Crisp's report stated the woman reported the imposter caressed her arm and said he didn't mean to frighten her. The man said the imposter seized his prescription medicine.
Both accusers were suspicious and called authorities.
