Shoeless bandit robs North Knox County hotel
The Knox Country Sheriff Department is searching for a man they say robbed a Powell hotel.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) - The Knox Country Sheriff Department is searching for a man they say robbed a Powell hotel.
Authorities say it happened about 6:20 Thursday morning at the Country Inn and Suites in the 7500 block of Conner Road in North Knox County.
The suspect entered the hotel armed with a tire iron and demanded money from the clerk. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white man with blond curly hair, 180 pounds, about 5'10 with gray sweats and no shoes and armed with a tire iron.
Authorities say they do have the robbery on surveillance video.
