Former Vol 'Jim Bob' Cooter facing burglary charges
Former Vol backup quarterback "Jim Bob" Cooter, whose real name is James Robert Cooter, is facing aggravated burglary charges after allegedly getting into bed with a woman after climbing through a window of her Fort Sanders apartment, according to an arrest warrant.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Former Vol backup quarterback "Jim Bob" Cooter, whose real name is James Robert Cooter, is facing aggravated burglary charges after allegedly getting into bed with a woman after climbing through a window of her Fort Sanders apartment, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant says Cooter climbed through woman's window on Franklin Station Way, stripped down to his underwear and got into bed with the woman Saturday.

She called police, who found him in her bed and arrested him on an aggravated burglary charge. He was released the following day on a $10,000 bond and will be arraigned on July 13.

Cooter is originally from Fayetteville, Tennessee and graduated from UT in 2006. He served as a graduate assistant on Coach Philip Fulmer's staff from 2007-2008. He currently works for the Indianapolis Colts as a staff assistant.

He turns 25 on July, 3rd.

Any news on Jim Bob Cooters arraignment . It was schedule to be today. If the charges are dropped or reduced I hope the media jumps on that as quick as they did the charges. Thrown down hard a few times myself.

How can you say he made a "smart" decision by not driving? Was it "smart" that he broke into an apartment through a window? The girl was never in a dangerous situation? Put your sister in that apartment with a man breaking in, tell then its not "dangerous". Jim Bob has a history of drinking and getting in trouble. He was slapped on the wrist earlier in life when Fulmer had the zero tolerence policy in action. JB was the only one let back on the team after he was arressted the same month the policy went into "so-called" effect. Maybe JB should quit making excuses and realize daddy can't get him out of everything. He better hope the Colts don't find out!
