JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville woman who was enjoying the holiday weekend drowned in Douglas Lake Saturday.
It happened near Point 13, which is near Slover Springs Road in Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Rescue Squad says Abby Swann, 24, was boating with family and friends Saturday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m. when she jumped off the boat to swim, but she went under and didn't re-surface.
Dive teams pulled her body from the lake just half an hour later.
