KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The endangered child alert that was issued Wednesday evening for a Polk County, Ga. girl has been called off.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed around 9:00 p.m. that Destiny Touchstone, 14 had been found safe and sound in Resaca, Ga.

Larry Ryan Smith, 29 who she was believed to be traveling with was taken into custody. No further details of the investigation were released.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An endangered child alert has been issued in Tennessee for a missing 14-year-old Polk County, Ga. girl.

On October 6, 2009 at approximately 10:45 PM, Destiny Alexis Touchstone's grandmother heard a vehicle pull away from the house and looked outside and saw taillights leaving the residence. A close friend told officials that Alexis told her on the school bus that she was going to runaway with a man named Larry Ryan Smith from Atlanta. The friend said that Alexis told her that Ryan had a truck. They may be traveling in a green 1996 Jeep Cherokee.
