(WVLT) - The Vice Mayor of Sevierville is in stable condition U.T. Medical Center after a crash that killed two other people in Kentucky.
The crash happened just after 6:00pm on I-75 in Whitley County, just south of Corbin.
Police say Freda and Steve Greene, from South Carolina, were driving north on the highway when they lost control of their car, crossed the median, and hit a pickup truck head-on.
Their car continued on and hit a tractor trailer.
The Greenes both died in the crash.
Paramedics airlifted the two people in the pickup truck to U.T. Medical Center.
One of them is Sevierville's Vice Mayor, Dale Carr.
The other victim's name is Charles Thompson.
Both men are listed in stable condition this morning.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
Police say everyone involved was wearing their seat belts and it appears alcohol and drugs were not a factor.
