ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – Authorities are searching for an East Tennessee man accused of brutally beating another over the weekend in Anderson County.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department has asked for help locating Oryan Shawn Soles, 27. Investigators believe Soles assaulted Christopher Dean Davis, 27 at a home on Gadsontown Lane near the Claxton community. Davis was taken to his mother’s home on Raccoon Valley Road in Knox County, where someone called 9-1-1 at 7:24 p.m., on November 1st. Paramedics transported him to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was last listed in critical condition.
Deputies were called in to investigate because it appeared Davis had been brutally beaten. When they contacted the originally 9-1-1 called, they were told they had misunderstood, and Davis had been injured in an ATV wreck. They caller later contacted authorities and admitted he had actually been assaulted.
Soles was almost immediately identified as the person responsible for the assault. An attempted first degree murder warrant was issued for his arrest and law enforcement agencies in surrounding counties were told to be on the lookout for him.
Authorities say Soles is no stranger to the law. He was released from prison in 2007 after serving time for burglary and robbery. Oak Ridge Police took him into custody in June 2009 on charges related to crack cocaine possession.
He is believed to be hiding somewhere in East Knoxville and is possibly armed with a handgun.
Soles is described as a black, 5’11” and 190 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Soles is asked to call the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department at (865) 457-2414.

Oryan is anything but honorable and the only community service he provides is getting the drugs to the local crack addicts. As far as family goes, I don't know how many kids he has but I doubt he's able to take care of them with him being in and out of jail all the time. Even if this guy did rob him then Oryan got what he deserved. He went to prison in 2002 for breaking into a girls house and holding a gun to her face. Now he might know how it feels. The only thing I'm praying for is that this scumbag is taken off the streets for a long long time and those kids in that house are put into foster care before they end up like him.
CHRIS DAVIS HAS STOLE FROM 20 OR MORE PEOPLE THAT I KNOW INCLUDING ME, WHY HAS HE NOT BEEN PUT IN JAIL? CHRIS DID DRUGS THAT IS WHAT MESSED HIS HEAD UP, THAT IS WHY HE IS IN THE HOSPITAL. ORYAN IS AN HONORABLE MAN AND WORKS FOR HIS COMMUNITY AND FAMILY. AFTER ORYAN DEFENDING HIS SELF CHRIS WALKED AWAY FROM THE FIGHT WITH NO PROBLEMS NOW EVERYBODY IS SAYING ORYAN TRIED TO KILL HIM, THAT IS CRAZY!!! I THINK THAT ACSD IS RACIST. WE ARE ALL PRAYING FOR YOU, GOOD LUCK ORYAN!!!!!
Well what sbout the kids chris robbed over an dover again. He has broke into so many houses, cars, and everything else. You say oryan will get what he deserves what about the high speed chase chris took police on how about his long time in jail and lets not even talk about drugs, His whole family a drug addicts including him. He was raised by low lifes. Yes I hate it for his family but you cannot keep robbing people and getting away with it. He was headed for death anyways either the drugs or somebody was going to kill him eventually. Shelly wants to cry now she sould of left the drugs alone and raised her child. He might not have been in this situation.
