KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT-TV) -- Your Volunteer TV News Sports Overtime team has learned that now former UT wide receiver Nu'Keese Richardson will not be enrolled at the University of Tennessee next semester.
A source close to Sports Overtime spoke with the receiver himself, who said he would not be returning next semester and that he'll head back to his home state of Florida.
Richardson and fellow Vol freshman Mike Edwards were both dismissed from the Tennessee football team by Coach Lane Kiffin last week following their roles in an early morning armed robbery on the Cumberland Avenue strip.
A third player involved in that incident, Janzen Jackson, still remains on the squad, but is not allowed to take part in any team functions.
All three players are expected to be in court tomorrow, November 23. It is also our understanding that the players who remain on campus must also answer to the UT student Code of Ethics. Their case will be reviewed by the UT student Judicial Affairs board.
