Sevierville Man Arrested For Murder

Sevier County (WVLT) -- The Sevier County Sheriff's office has arrested a man in connection with the discovery a dead body near Creek Hollow Way yesterday afternoon.
According to Sheriff Ron Seals, the departments Crime Scene Investigation Unit located skeletal remains on the scene and are working with the University of Tennessee Department of Anthropology to identify them.
Around 2 AM this morning detectives working the cause found a person of interest off Jobey Green Hollow Rd. and brought him in for questioning.
Shortly after they arrested John Steven Garner, 38, of Sevierville and charged him with first degree murder.
The victim's remains are currently at the UT Forensic Center where it will be identified.
