A 4 year-old boy wearing a dress and drinking a beer was found walking alone near his home in the middle of the night.
It happened in Chattanooga while his mother says she was inside the house asleep.
This all started because the boy just wants to be with his father who is behind bars.
A 4 year old little boy, Hayden Wright, was found early Tuesday morning, wandering the streets of his neighborhood.
Officers say he was wearing a little girl's dress and drinking a beer.
April Wright, the boy's mother, says, "The biggest concern was him being out there, getting kidnapped, getting run over, the alcohol, having to have his stomach pumped."
His mother, April Wright, woke up panicked at 1:45 am.
Hayden was gone.
Wright says her 4 year old followed his father's footsteps and was found here on blue spruce drive, drinking alcohol.
April Wright, the boy's mother, says, "He runs away trying to find his father, he wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that's where his daddy is.
Officials says Hayden rang the doorbell here, a few houses down, and the neighbor answered, finding the child holding a half empty 12 ounce cold bud light beer.
April Wright, the boy's mother, says, "He got it out of my father's cooler in the back and how he got it open I don't understand because it was one of those tab beers.
Hayden also snuck into a neighbor's house through an unlocked front door, stole Christmas gifts from under the tree.
One was a brown dress Hayden was wearing when police found him
April Wright, the boy's mother, says, "Going to the neighbor's house and taking their presents, very embarrassing."
Wright was also scared, and rushed to the hospital that night with Hayden, who's now fine.
April Wright, the boy's mother, says, "Kids do things like this and it's out of your control, you can only do the best you can as a mother, everyone makes mistakes. It was an honest mistake.
An honest mistake so child protective services says wright will get to keep custody of Hayden.

Thought this was funny at first but untill I heard it was because the boy wanted to be with his daddy it changed the whole "funny story". Those to think our kids aren't watching us, think again.
This is very sad - it's not funny at all. I hope the mother gets some professional advice or counseling on how to help her son. Also, better locks on doors and no access to alcohol. If the mother does not help her son while he is young, this little boy WILL be in the same place his father is.
It couldn't possibly be the mother's fault. She's obviously a wonderful role model: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=473451170&blogId=519849765
