REPORT: Ten Mile man killed in Monroe County industrial accident
An East Tennessee man was killed early Tuesday afternoon in a Monroe County industrial accident.

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – An East Tennessee man was killed early Tuesday afternoon in a Monroe County industrial accident.
James Bales, 51 of Ten Mile died of injuries he received after being struck by glass at the SCHOTT Gemtron plant in Sweetwater according to the Monroe County Advocate. No foul play is suspected.
Gemtron first opened the Monroe County plant in 1973. Today it is used to design, process and produce a number of items in the glass fabrication industry.
