The Tennessee Highway Patrol’s fatality report states that Glenn D. Miller, 52 of Kingston was driving south on Liberty Road near the Petit Lane intersection at 2:11 p.m. when his car veered off the right side of the roadway.
According to the report, Miller over-corrected, veered across both lanes of traffic and hit a pole on the left side of the road. After striking the pole, his 1999 Kia sedan veered all the way across Liberty Road and came to a rest in a ditch.

Teresa after we talked this morning my heart broke for you all over again. I remember reading the papers when my daughter died and I love you and wish I could take away your pain. When you told me earlier that you had found the post on the accident I was wishing you hadn't. If you need me I'm here.
Glenn had just left work at MCCX and was only about 2 miles from there when he had the wreck. He was a very good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He always had a smile, and would do anything for anyone. He was taken to Oak Ridge by ambulance, and died during flight by Life Star from O.R. to U.T. I did get to speak to Glenn at O.R. THANKS to a call from a very good friend of ours,(Greg)from Wartburg, that let me know what was going on at the wreck the whole time, and what hospital to be at, we did get to say I LOVE YOU one last time. We miss him so very much, and he will always be in our hearts. I want to Thank everyone for all they have done and all the prayers that has been sent out. A very special THANK YOU to Greg, for u gave us that last time to be together here on earth.
Glenn was a good dad and husband. His family misses him so much already.
