Knoxville (WVLT) - It may not feel like it's time already, but believe it or not, we're just a few weeks from back to school!

Going along with tradition from last year, the State of Tennessee will be having a back to school tax-free-weekend.

But some things have changing this time around. Volunteer TV’s Stacy McCloud has more on when and what.

Ever since store shelves have been stocked with anything and everything back-to-school, getting back in the classroom is all six-year-old Erin Brown has talked about.

"How fast has the summer gone by?” McCloud asks

“Really fast!" Erin replies.

Erin is advancing to first grade, which means a longer wish list.

"I was wanting to get a pink pencil box, but I've already got one,” Erin says.

And mom Nadiena is busy looking for bargains. "We're shopping around right now.”

The decision, stock up while the sale signs are up, or take a chance on the price cuts being gone, and buy it a couple weeks from now when it's guaranteed tax free.

"I think I've already got most my stuff,” college freshman Allison Bradley is way too eager to wait. She starts college and wants everything to be in place long before she leaves. "I'm just trying to keep a little more organized maybe than in years past, so I'm getting a planner"

For those with the weekend circled, here's what you need to know.

Everything on the list from before, remains, pens and paper, scissors, tape and glue. If it's under 100 dollars, most school supplies are tax-free. Same goes for clothes.

But that's not all. New to the list this time around are art supplies. Anything from acrylic and watercolor to paints, paintbrushes and sketch pads, most will be tax free.

Welcoming news that even at the last minute, leaves most willing to wait.

The tax free weekend is the first weekend in August, August 3-5.
