KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Kenny Chesney is reportedly set to present his first concert in Knoxville in nearly seven years.
WVLT Volunteer TV News radio partner WIVK reported Tuesday evening that the Luttrell-native and Gibbs High School graduate will premier his “Summer in 3D” concert on April 14th at the Regal Pinnacle 18 in Turkey Creek. The premier is being held to raise money for Variety of East Tennessee, a children’s charity that has hosted similar events in the past.
Chesney’s last show in the Knoxville area was June 7th, 2003 when he played to more than 63,000 at Neyland Stadium.
Tickets to the April 14th fundraiser will reportedly cost $25 and include a catered reception as well as a viewing of the 3D concert. Chesney will also talk to the audience about the film.
We’ll bring you more information about the charity event as it approaches.
