KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Two people are safe this morning after an overnight house fire in South Knoxville.
Knoxville firefighters responded to the 500 block of Palmer Street just before 1:30 Monday morning.
Officials say the landlord and a tenant were inside the home at the time of the fire but were not injured.
A firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion but is okay.
The fire was under control around 2:30, but crews worked through the early morning hours to put out some hot spots.
