Lenoir City (WVLT) - Folks eating dinner out in Lenoir City got quite the surprise when a meth lab was busted right in the parking lot.

An officer pulled the suspects over after he noticed they were driving erratically on Broadway in Lenoir City Thursday night.

Authorities say one suspect inside the car tried to run away, but was caught after a short foot chase. That's when police say they found a partial meth lab.

They say they believe the suspects had just left a Walgreens where they may have been trying to pick up pseudoephedrine.

"What's happened with the pills going behind the counter and stuff, it's slowed it down dramatically. I mean, very dramatically. It's a good law. It's helping a lot, but now we're seeing them get more organized," said Sgt. Barry Hall from the Loudon County Sheriff's Department.

In all, four suspects were decontaminated, then taken into custody.
