Three firefighters injured fighting Loudon business blaze

LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT)- The investigation begins this morning, after fire crews from four different agencies battled a Loudon business fire, which sent three firefighters to the hospital.

The blaze began around 9 last night, and officials tell us when they arrived on the scene of the "Log Cabin" restaurant, off of Highway 72, there was heavy smoke and flames showing.

Several different factors made fighting the fire a difficult task.

Loudon Fire Chief Mike Brubaker says that the flames were fast moving and the building's construction made things tricky.

Heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation sent a trio of Loudon firefighters to the hospital, but all are expected to be fine.

The business' website says they've been in operation for the past forty years.
