Sam was my neighbor in Brentwood beginning in '82. We solved the worlds problems some evenings standing in our driveways and he taught me what a good friend was suppose to be. Kind, giving (to a fault, 'Trader Sam' was the consummate gentleman. Have a cigar and a scotch on me, Friend.
What can be said that hasn't already been said? Anyone who knew Sam doesn't need to be told what a great guy is was. Everyone knew it the first time you met him. The Lords humidor is always full, and they're always Punch Rothchild Double Maduro. One day we will light up again together. I love you, my friend.
Sam was a very small part of my early sales career but with that left an impression that still reminds me today to be friendly, compasionate and understanding to all, like he was to me.
