A fire tore through an East Knoxville home this morning, jolting several people from their sleep.
Crews responded to the home in the 2500 block of Louise Avenue after someone called 911.
Four adults and their pets were able to get out of the home safely. Maggie Moore was one of those people.
"The house caught on fire. I was in bed asleep and my brother came running through the door hollering, 'The house is on fire,' and I just very got out cause there was smoke. And I got down the steps but I had to have oxygen because I couldn't breath," Moore says about the fire.
Fire crews say they don't know what caused the fire. It's under investigation.
