KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Employees at a downtown Cook Out were unaware of the flames shooting from the fast food establishment early Thursday morning, according to the Knoxville Fire Department.
Passers by noticed the blaze on the roof and called 911 shortly after 7:30 a.m. Firefighters responded to the restaurant, 2135 Cumberland Ave., and found the fire burning in the ducts over the range area. Emergency crews were able to get the flames under control within fifteen minutes.
No injuries were reported in connection with the fire and a KFD spokesperson added that they are already trying to get things back to normal.
