Knoxville Fire Department has hands full fighting three fires

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)-- A busy day for Knoxville Firefighters. They battled not one, not two, but three fires.

The third one broke out around 4:30 Thursday afternoon at 920 West Woodland Avenue.

Firefighters found heavy smoke pouring from the house. They quickly tapped into a water source and knocked down the flames.

The home owner reported that the tenant had moved out earlier this week, so the home was empty.

Arson investigators are trying to figure out the cause and origin of the fire. No injuries are reported at this time.

The two other fires were this morning: the first at 7:41 the Cook Out eatery 2135 Cumberland Ave, the second a 10:50 a.m. chimney fire at a single family dwelling 2321 Laurinda Rd.
