Dancing with the Knoxville Stars raises $87,000
KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- The Knoxville stars helped raise more than $87,000 for East Tennessee Children's Hospital. That's $30,000 more than last year!
Our own Lorena Estrada put her salsa shoes on and gave an incredible performance! She raised more than $5,000.
Her and her dancing partner, Chris Larsen, practiced for weeks.
Several Knoxville stars competed at the Knoxville Expo Center Thursday night.
With a perfect score of 30, Dixie Stampede's Jay Teter took home first place for his performance. Renita Stinnett with the Knoxville Expo Center raised the most money.
Special thanks to Papa Murphy's Take and Bake Pizza, Carleo's in the old City, Nick and J's Cafe on Lovell Road, and all her friends and family for their support in Lorena's fundraising!
