KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A stolen Nissan Maxima leads officers to two men wanted on separate vehicle burglary charges.
The suspect who allegedly stole the car was a 16 year-old minor who has been charged with one count of Felony Theft, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
Authorities also arrested 21 year-old Joseph Wollen for the late January theft of a 2006 Mazda van, which was stolen from Inskip Road. He was charged with Felony Theft as well.
He was nabbed after an officer spotted him walking near where the Maxima eventually crashed. When Wollen spotted the officer, he reportedly took off through a trailer park and was eventually captured near Clinton Hwy. and McClain Drive.
Around 2:30 a.m., another officer spotted the sixteen year-old walking along Clinton Highway near Merchants Road. He was detained after a short foot chase.
The victim explained to police her car was stolen while she was letting it warm up outside of the Pint House on Merchants Drive around midnight. She was waiting in a friend's car when she saw a van pull up. Two men get out and drove off in her car. The victim and her friend gave chase until the Maxima finally crashed in the 500 block of Murray Road.
