KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Thousands of dollars were stolen from two people who were tied up with phone cords in a Knoxville hotel room, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.

Officers responded to the Magnuson Hotel, 7621 Kingston Pike, shortly after 5:30 a.m. The victims told them there was a knock on the door and when they went to answer, the two suspects pulled out black semi-automatic handguns and forced their way into the room.

After tying up the victims, the suspects stole $2,000 in cash, two cell phones, and a laptop computer. No one was reportedly injured.

One of the suspects had short, dark hair, a full beard, and was wearing a white button up shirt, according to police; while the other man was wearing a camouflage hunting mask and an orange shirt.
