SPRING HILL, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a Maury County teen didn't intend to hurt anyone, but he is in trouble for allegedly bringing explosives to school.

County Schools director Eddie Hickman said a 15-year-old boy brought two devices made of fireworks and gunpowder to Spring Hill High School. The were found in a bathroom after the boy allegedly tried to flush them down a toilet and failed, according to The Daily Herald of Columbia (http://bit.ly/yyFCXm).

Teachers who overheard students talking about the foil-wrapped devices called police and moved students to an area away from the part of the building that housed the bathroom.

Hickman said the boy admitted the prank.

The teen was charged with possession of a prohibited device and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
