SAN DIEGO, Calif. (WVLT) -- Did you know back yard swimming pools are only used about five percent of the year? A San Diego based pool manufacture wants to change that.
We first told you about this story on the April 16th, 2009 edition of Volunteer TV News at 11:00.
Hidden Water Pools have created a backyard pool that be transformed from six feet deep to a patio in about two minutes.
The pools work by using hydraulic lifts to change depth and pumps to drain water as level is changed.
Once converted to a patio, it can hold 20,000 lbs or about 120 people.
Hidden Water Pools are available in six different sizes and can be customized with a number of options. The total cost is typically 25 to 30 percent higher than a standard backyard pool.
