starting next year student will have to purchase football tickets. this has caused an uproar on campus. students already pay an activity fee each year that was supposed to go to things like tickets. football is the only "activity" that many students do. a couple of groups on facebook have been made about it and in just a few hours one had over 1300 members. some students are trying to organize a protest. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14264594084

I think the students should be allowed to go for free and if they can't then refund them the money. Why say ok im gonna charge u this rate then u can't come to the game unless u pay extra for the tickets.. what is the money goin to then? they should be proud so many students want to support the team. And please u cant make me believe that many students are attending plays and musuems instead of games.

I attended graduate school at UTK and not once did I get a ticket to go to a football game. They were already sold out BEFORE school even started. Football at UT is big business. How else can they fund Fulmer's salary and benefits without selling tickets? Oh, by the way, the $250 activity fee goes to free admission to museums, plays and other activities that do not generate money like football and basketball.

As much as students pay to attend UT they should at least be able to attend the games for free. That is just plain ridiculous.

Student going to college should be able to go to activities that college has to offer. This should be an incentive for paying big bucks to go to school.

excuse me james,and everyone else who shares his opinion,students ALREADY pay an activity fee thats around $250 and it specifies it goes towards tickets for sporting events. we're complaining be we already pay a fee for tickets. know the whole story before u post something!

oh my lord, let's just give everything away for free. do you know how much they actually are? certainly more than 15 dollars. but let's all cry!!!!!!!!
