Once missing soldier now facing charges in Knoxville
A Knoxville soldier reported missing last week and later found safe in Memphis is now facing charges in Knoxville, according to police.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville soldier reported missing last week and later found safe in Memphis is now facing charges in Knoxville, according to police.

James Adam Letner, 20, will face Vehicular Burglary and Unlawful Use of a Credit Card charges.

Letner is in police custody in Memphis, and detectives from Knoxville will travel there to pick him up.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Web site, Letner was booked Friday.

Letner's family reported him missing after he failed to show up at the U.S. Army base in Fort Hood, Texas after leaving Knoxville following his stepfather's funeral.
