KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Traffic was tied up for a while after a car with three young passengers went off Shipe Road and into a tree late Sunday afternoon in East Knoxville.
A Rural Metro Spokesman tells Volunteer TV two men were able to get out of the car with minor injuries, but a young woman was trapped in the car for more than an hour.
Lifestar had to land in the road and block traffic as they waited to extricate her.
Though the crash looked bad, Rural Metro tells us, they expect all three passengers will be ok.
