(WVLT) -- People in the Knoxville and surrounding areas can start donating to Coats For The Cold Tuesday.

It's an event run by Knox Area Rescue Ministries.

When these cold temperatures come around, there are a lot of less fortunate people left outside, some of them without any extra clothing.

That's why KARM takes donations for the "Coats For The Cold" event around this time of year.

You can donate to any KARM Thrift Store or Prestige Cleaners.

They're looking for gently used coats or new ones -- any size -- for both kids and adults.

All of these coats, which are collected through November 18th, will be distributed to those who need them at the beginning of December.
