The Strike and Spare bowling alley on Western Avenue in Knoxville is reopend after it was evacuated around 11:30 Saturday morning.

A Knoxville Fire Department spokesman said the original call came in as an explosion. The caller reported hearing a popping sound and seeing smoke.

Firefighters found a refrigerator plugged into an outlet in an employee rest area believed to be where the incident took place.

The explosion was possibly caused by a breaker in the refridgerator.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Firefighters cleared the building and people were allowed back in after determining that there was no fire.
