Campbell County (WVLT) -- Rescue crews say the search for a missing boater in Cove Creek is now a recovery operation.

Crews have been searching for a woman who went missing yesterday evening after the boat she was traveling in flipped several times in Cove Creek, just south of Twin Cove Marina near Caryville.

The TWRA says the unidentified woman, and a man she was with were trapped under water following the accident.

The man, identified as Robert Foshee, 65 of Lenoir City suffered serious injuries and was transported by Lifestar to UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

The Knoxville Rescue Squad was called to the scene this morning to help in the search.

They will use sonar technology to locate the drown woman.

We have a crew on scene and will bring you the latest on the recovery efforts tonight on Volunteer TV News at 6:30.

Our family was at Cove Creek when this happened. Myself and my two sons were just a few of many people who were in the water searching for this woman. The water at Cove Creek is too narrow for this type of activity. There should be a speed limit for boaters in areas like this. We are fortunate that more people were not involved in the accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the young woman.
