Lenoir City man killed in I-75 crash
A Lenoir City man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car he was traveling in crashed along Interstate 75.

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Lenoir City man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car he was traveling in crashed along Interstate 75.
It happened at 3:22 p.m. near the Sugarlimb Road exit and mile marker 76.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Silas E. Parks, 20 of Lenoir City was driving south on I-75 when he lost control of his 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
George E. Parks Jr., 47 of Lenoir City was sitting in the back seat behind the driver at the time of the wreck and died on scene. Silas and a 17 year old girl in the front passenger’s seat were both injured.
The accident report indicates all three people in the car were not wearing seatbelts. Citations are pending.
