UPDATE: Deputies locate missing Loudon County man in Ga.
The Loudon County Sheriff's Office has located the elderly Lenoir City man who had been missing since Monday afternoon.

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Loudon County Sheriff's Office has located the elderly Lenoir City man who had been missing since Monday afternoon.

Deputies told Volunteer TV News that Robert Lee Dixon, 71 was found in Fayette County, Georgia last Wednesday evening. They apparently located him only after he had been involved in a minor car accident. He wasn’t hurt, but paramedics took him to a nearby hospital to undergo a checkup.

Authorities had put out a “Be On The Look Out For” bulletin out to neighboring counties and states about Dixon on Monday evening. According to the bulletin, he suffers from several medial issues including dementia, heart problems and emphysema.

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Loudon County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a 71-year-old Lenoir City man missing since Monday.

Officers were called to Robert Lee Dixon's home at 1891 Browder Hollow Road in Lenoir City around 9:45 p.m. Monday. Deputies say they were told he left his home in a maroon 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. The car has a disabled driver tag, 15DD375.

Deputies say Robert Lee Dixon suffers from medical issues, including dementia, heart problems and emphysema. Deputies say he may be confused and unable to remember his address or phone number.

Dixon is a 5' 11" tall white man, and weighs about 130 pounds. He has a "love hate" tattoo on his fingers. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown striped shirt, a black leather jacket and a ball cap with an eagle and an American flag on it.

This is a sad story, but a great ending for this man and his Family, and great Police work all the way around, Great Job.
