LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police continue to investigate a Loudon County crash that killed a mother and father and sent their two children to the hospital.
The wreck happened last night between mile markers 67 and 68 on I-75.
Police say Sharon Galyon was heading north when she lost control of her SUV, and drove off the highway. She and her husband, Chris, both died.
Family members told Local 8 News the couple's nine year-old son, Blaine Christopher, is out of the hospital and staying with relatives in Knoxville.
However, his younger brother, Wyatt, is in intensive care, and at last check was on a ventilator. But family members say he is improving.
At the scene of the crash, the skid marks are still visible where Sharon Galyon lost control of the car, and drove off the road.
The car tore threw the grass and slammed into two trees before coming to a stop.
We talked to neighbors of Chris's mother in Lenoir City, where he grew up.
They did not want to go on camera, but say the family was on the way back to their home from a cookout.
Family will make funeral arrangements soon, but say their focus right now is on the two children who lost their parents.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. According to police, both parents were wearing seat belts.
However, the report also says drugs and alcohol were involved.
