Dozens of local Marine Reserves coming home Friday
Thirty-four Reserve Marines are coming home Friday after a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the Marine Reserves announced on Wednesday.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Thirty-four Reserve Marines are coming home Friday after a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the Marine Reserves announced on Wednesday.
The members of Comapny D, 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, out of Knoxville, will be welcomed home between 4 and 6 p.m. at the Knoxville Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center on Friday.
Members of the community are invited to greet the returning Marines and will have access to the Reserve Center during those times.
