DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) -- A Dyersburg man with a history of mental illness was charged with aggravated kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl after police responded to the sound of a struggle in his apartment.

Police said 46-year-old Frank McDonald was taken into custody after officers found the girl naked on a bed and screaming in his apartment.

According to the State Gazette newspaper, police found a knife in his shirt pocket, a claw hammer inside his jacket and a knife tied to his arm.
