Four Escaped DeKalb Co. Inmates Captured Save Email Print

CLINTON, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say all four inmates who escaped from the Dekalb County Jail in Middle Tennessee are back behind bars.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Department says Larry Lee George of Michigan and Jeffrey Lynn Hendrix of Cookeville were found hiding under a railroad trestle in Briceville and nabbed after a brief foot chase.

George and Hendrix were believed to have stolen a red 1991 Jeep Wrangler after they escaped Wednesday. Police say they fled to Briceville where George has relatives.

The two other escapees from were recaptured Wednesday.

George was in jail for evading arrest. Hendrix was jailed on charges of aggravated burglary, burglary, vandalism and theft.
