17 suspected illegal aliens nabbed during traffic stop on I-75 Save Email Print

MADISONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Quite a find for Monroe County Sheriff's deputies inside a van stopped on Interstate 75 Wednesday night.

Deputies stopped the van near the 60 mile marker after they say they became suspicious the driver was driving under the influence.

Neither the driver nor the passenger had a valid driver's license, according to deputies.

Upon further investigation, investigators say they found seventeen suspected illegal aliens in the van.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents responded to the scene to assist and took the seventeen people in the back of the van into custody.

The individuals were apparently en route to various states including Tennessee, Georgia, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

If you are tired of paying for rich multi national corporations high profits. Vote for someone that truly believes in enforcing the immigration laws.

We are being over run with illegal aliens. The cost to our country is enormous. Instead of writting your comments in this format,write to the newspapers,senators, condgressmen, mayors,govenors, etc. These are the people who hold the future of you,your children,your grandchildren your communities,your state and your country in their hands. We must hold them accountabile.

State enforcement laws are working very will, but a Federal law is all encompassing and can reduce the illegal alien occupation of our nation by ATTRITION or self-deportation. Once the spigot of jobs is cut off than the foreign nationals will leave or suffer the consequences when caught. This will include very heavy fines and imprisonment for parasite employers. The hierarchy of Democrats are trying to confuse the issue, stating it will cost $30 billion dollars, but the Hudson Institute says the Federal government is already spending $345 billion dollars a year subsidizing these illegal low wage earners. It is estimated that every American taxpayer paid more than $9,000 for each immigrant in the country, a third of whom are believed to be in the U.S. illegally. Not If, but when the president signs into law a new AMNESTY. Not only will we be supporting the 12 to 30 million already living here illegally. But those on the outside of our border, will think it's 'open day' expecting

Man driving modified pickup truck arrested in Arizona for human smuggling Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Sixteen Illegal immigrants were found in a pickup truck. CAMP VERDE -- On April 22, 2008, at approximately 6:15 A.M., a Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a green 1995 Dodge Ram pick-up for speeding on the I17 in Camp Verde. The deputy contacted the driver, identified as 28-year-old Edgar Ocampo, and learned that he was an unlicensed driver transporting 16 illegal aliens in the vehicle. The deputy examined the vehicle and found 6 subjects in the truck's cab and 10 subjects in the cargo bed of the truck. Ocampo told the deputy that the passengers were his friends but he was unable to name anyone in the vehicle. Ocampo eventually admitted the passengers were here illegally from Mexico, like himself, and he was taking the group to Flagstaff to find work.

24 immigrants hurt in Ariz. rollover DOUGLAS - A van packed with illegal immigrants struck a guardrail in southeastern Arizona and then rolled several times, injuring 24 people. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says seven victims, one with life-threatening injuries, were airlifted to hospitals in Tucson, 100 miles away. Seventeen others were taken by ambulance to hospitals in Douglas, Bisbee and Willcox. DPS Officer Joy Craig said no one was wearing a seat belt and all the occupants of the 1996 Ford Club Wagon were ejected in the late-Thursday night accident on U.S. 191 about 13 miles north of Douglas. Some victims fled into the desert and were found during a search of the area. Craig said all those in the van were illegal immigrants.

Hopefully Tennessee, like so many other states, is busy putting some tough laws agsinst illegal immigration on the books. E-Verify has Illegal immigrants running scared. Hoping that Tennessee employers are being forced to use it.

Glad to see the highway patrol called ICE and that ICE actually picked them up! This is what needs to be done all around the country.
