SEYMOUR, SEVIER COUNTY (WVLT) – An elderly Knoxville woman was killed in a car wreck Saturday evening.

Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Elizabeth Ellen Lynch, 82 was the passenger in a car that was attempting to turn left on to Chapman Highway from the parking lot of Bob’s Mountaineer Restaurant.

The driver of the car did not notice on-coming traffic, and when he started to make the turn, he pulled out into the path of an pickup truck. They collided, killing Mrs. Lynch and injuring the car’s driver.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, and no charges will be filed.
